| Evolution of the company |
|

Founded by 3 brothers Wong Pak Lin, Wong Pak Ting and Wong Pak Lum, the company started operation in 1989 and officially registered
as a partnership company (TGV) in 1990. Started out
as a wedding video company and equiped with the Amiga personal computer,
the company began creating personal computer
animated cel animation and applied them in their first job of wedding video.
Being one of the earliest company creating affordable personal computer animated animation for video, the company quickly
attracted attention from producers in the video and broadcast industry and rapidly became an animation service provider. |

In 1994, a new company TGV Cartoon Production Sdn Bhd was set up to replace the earlier partnership company
due to new government regulation requiring it to be a private limited company. The new company inherited the name
(TGV) to reflect a continuity from the original company and appended the word "Cartoon" because the company
was then more focused in the area of 2D cartoon animation. In the early 90s, the general term "Animation" was not
so common in Malaysia and many even mis-pronounced it as "Amination". |
|

Even though TGV Cartoon Production initially focused on producing 2D Cartoon animation (nowadays
simply refers to 2D Animation),
the company did not stop there but ventured into other types of animation including stop-motion
and 3D CGI.
In 2008,
the company decided to officially changed her name to use the then more general term "Animation".
The alphabet "C" for Cartoon is now attached to TGV to register the path of evolution.
